HEART SURGERY
2020, Watercolor, paper, video
2020 — SOLO SHOW, Haus der Kunst St. Josef, Solothurn, Switzerland
Step into the enchanting realm of the Garden of Oblivion, where one morning, we awoke in wonderment, questioning our identities and destinations. Amidst the foliage, phantoms, and shadows gracefully dance, their movements unhurried and altruistic. Electric surges cleave the air, etching indelible imprints upon retinas. A resplendent cloud envelops, infiltrates, and gently erases painful memories. In this labyrinth, we continually lose ourselves, only to rediscover new motivations for rendezvous.
Press onward toward the luminance, unfazed if it’s but an artificial beam…
The Heart Surgery series of drawings and videos was created for its debut at Haus Der Kunst Sankt Josef. This narrative explores illusions, transience, and an enduring sense of boundless uncertainty. On one fateful day, our existence transforms into a spectral rave party. Circularity in motion, vivid hues, and bursts of light compel us to forget and, once again, believe in the extraordinary.
