THE POISONOUS BERRIES

Tanya Akhmetgalieva herself describes the project as following: “The Poisonous Berries” stands as my inaugural series of oil paintings within my artistic journey. These images have materialized over the course of the past year and a half. The collection serves as a personal diary, a continuous current of consciousness interwoven with daily events, dreams, distant laughter, underlying fears, fragments of spoken words suspended in the atmosphere, letters intended for nowhere, inquiries, resolutions, enigmatic symbols, fleeting signals from lighthouses, instances of flight, surges of electricity, sudden bursts of light, fragments, extraordinary synchronicities, as well as moments of descent and converging trajectories. All these elements swirl together within a maddening carousel. Vibrant and inviting hues initially beckon the viewer toward a fabricated Paradise, but this allure swiftly transmutes into embodiments of unease, suffering, and peril”.
